More than one thousand of citations in the local Italian press and in internet blogs. It is enough to put “fusilli di luce” or “fotoni ubriachi” (drunk photons) which is the way we call in Italy OAM states of light on Google and obtain more than a thousand of citations.

Independent thinking and leadership qualities:

Thanks to the training gained from participation in several projects and working groups already cited above, I have developed a good level of leadership skills. This is clearly shown both my publication record, press interviews, where in most cases I was the proposer and coordinator of the research.

Very often my research activities opened new fields of investigation, like the detection of gravitational waves with quantum entanglement, or opening new pioneering research fields, like Astronomy at the quantum limit and OAM states in Astronomy. Often most of the ideas of the proposer could not have been completely realized because of the paucity of funding that characterizes the dramatic situation of the research in our Country. Besides that, most of the quoted researches beneficed from international collaborations, that were coordinated also by the applicant.

Independent thinking and leadership qualities of the researcher are also confirmed both by the invitation to lecture at the 2010 Celsius Symposium in Uppsala, Sweden and by the international press recognitions of the innovative ideas in Physics and Astronomy.
